Re: Surplus brass - ONE FINAL TIME
I could be dead wrong on this, but I think that "end use certificate" under bidding restrictions, has something to do with it. I know I read on another firearms board that there was discussion about this certificate that was needed. something to do with destroying of brass.. Like I said I could be wrong....

It was true for about a week and a half. The DOD rescinded the order after a huge uproar and said it was a mistake.

Re: Surplus brass - ONE FINAL TIME
Well, I'm going to have to dine on crow. I went on a rant about this 3 weeks ago to my best friend. Hopefully, he won't see this. :10_1_20: Thanks wallew, a reminder to get my facts straight, before I jump up on the soapbox.

Re: Surplus brass - ONE FINAL TIME
EUC's are NORMALLY required for vehicles.
I know for a fact that the surplus chests I purchased (88 of them) required NO EUC. Having said that, I'm currently waiting for the EUC to clear through Battle Creek for the M1028A3 (one ton 1986 4x4 dually w/13k miles) that I purchased about three weeks ago. Hopefully I'll get clearance sometime in a couple of weeks and a buddy of mine is going to pick it up and deliver it to me. But for the surplus brass? No EUC required. Not yet anyway. Oh, and there were lots of 80,000 lbs of this stuff. I listed the smallest one. |
3 weeks ago,
you were correct, the government changed its' mind.:bear_thumb:
